Welcome back to a Day in the Life of Al and al. This post is a long time coming as we actually completed this makeover over the summer. Alexa’s room has undergone several makeovers over the years. This has been her bedroom since she was 6 years old so it was always important to me that the room grew up with her. We’ve updated colors, furniture, and needs along the way and purged toys, clothing, books and so much more. And still…there was still so much stuff!
How is that possible?
I’ll tell you how…it’s those closet doors! They hide all the stuff that you don’t see – important or not.
In today’s video, we are giving you a room tour of Alexa’s teen bedroom makeover. Gymnastics parents are always wondering how to display gymnastics medals and as far as I know, we have the most unique way of doing so. The biggest change was taking off the closet doors and replacing the standard builder shelf and rod with IKEA Pax wardrobe closet organizers. I purchased these units secondhand online which saved us a few hundred dollars. I hope you are inspired to makeover your own room.
